Y’s Story

In 2016, at just 10 years old, Y joined a summer camp in the UK on her own. From that moment, she set her heart on studying here. In 2017, she entered a private boarding school and, starting from zero English, passed the entrance exams after only 60 days of preparation.

From Year 9 through to her Year 13 graduation, I accompanied her as her guardian. Together we experienced the challenges of adapting to boarding life, online learning during the pandemic, the pressures of GCSEs and A-Levels, and the hardship of being separated from her parents for two years.

Today, Y has successfully completed her secondary education and is on her way to her dream art university. From a tearful young girl to a confident, independent artist, I have had the privilege of witnessing and supporting her entire educational journey in the UK.

H’s Story

H, a 17-year-old student from Hong Kong, is already 1.88m tall.

It was just before Christmas in 2021 when I received an urgent call from a friend: a student in the UK needed to change guardian immediately. For parents, every child is their most precious treasure, and finding the right guardian abroad can feel like opening a blind box — the risks and worries go far beyond money.

After a short conversation, H’s mother entrusted her son to me. I understood the weight of that trust: she was handing over the most important part of her life. As a guardian, I wanted to offer not just supervision, but a sense of safety and belonging — to let him treat my home as his own, and me as family.

Since then, everything has gone smoothly. H is a kind, outgoing student; despite his tall figure, inside he is still a boy who needs care and guidance. On his birthday, we celebrated together, and my wish for him was simple: study well, treasure this journey abroad, and grow into someone who will make the most of his future.
