My Story

I am an education writer and a long-term companion to the growth of Chinese students studying abroad. For the past eight years, I have been working in education and guardianship in the UK, witnessing countless young people on their journeys of studying in a foreign country. I have always believed that studying abroad is not only an academic challenge, but also a profound test of psychology, emotions, and character.

Through years of work, I have seen that Chinese students overseas often face not only academic and language pressures, but also loneliness and emotional struggles. During the pandemic, when many children could not return home, I chose to remain on the front line to personally care for those who stayed in the UK. At that time, I cooked with them, accompanied them to medical appointments, celebrated festivals together, and even walked them back to their dorms on cold winter nights. I was not only a guardian, but also a source of emotional support.

I have published several works documenting British culture, and my next book, My Study Abroad Journey in the UK, will be released in China in 2025. These writings are both dialogues with real lives and records of my emotional connection with the international student community.

At U.U, my vision is not merely to create a guardianship service, but to build a culture of care filled with warmth. I am willing to be like an “overseas mother,” listening with heart, responding with care, and supporting every step of a student’s journey in a foreign land.

May your journey on the other side of the world no longer feel like a lonely race.

You are never alone.
